We had an adventure at the store yesterday... I didn't buckle Makayla up in the cart and I turned away to grab something and she fell into the cart! Luckily itwasn't on the floor and that there was some food in the cart. I feel horrible, my poor baby.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!

I can't believe that Dale gets to come home in 2 days!!!! And the last day of school for this year is tomorrow! Christmas is in 4 days!!!! I can't wait! If you can't tell haha:)

So the sickness went through us all. Poor Beth got sick thursday I had to go get her from school and then that night I got really sick. I thought I was going to die I have never been that sick before in my life. I am so grateful to my sweet friend and neighbor if it wasn't for them I honestly don't know what I would of done. I seriously couldn't take care of my kids let alone myself. It was a long weekend. But luckily we are all better and in time for Christmas.

I am behind in writing and keeping up with my blog lately because I have had sick kids. One of the weekends Dale was home he went outside with the kids in our back yard and played in the leaves with them. They had a blast!

Birthday Boy!

December 11th was Ayden's 5th birthday! I can't believe that he is 5! Time goes by so fast. He is such a joy to have, such a good brother to his sisters and a sweetheart to his mom and dad. He is so smart and amazing. I feel so blessed and lucky to be his mother. My poor little man was sick for his birthday he had the flu. As you will be able to tell from the pictures I was able to get of him, he wasn't a happy boy. Not that I blame him. Happy Birthday Ayden man:) Momma loves you!

Come on! Really?

So I am extremely annoyed. It seems like we just get over one thing and then we get something else. Ayden got the flu for his birthday my poor boy. And last night Kadence and Makayla were up all night puking. I even had Kadence and Makayla get the flu shot and they still get it. Seriously? I keep my house clean, I keep things sanitized and I have my kids wash their hands and use germ-x and still we have been getting sick a lot this year! I don't know what else to do. I am just annoyed and frustrated.

Croup

My kids have all been sick with a bad cold and cough going on two weeks now. Saturday night Makayla got really sick took her to the doctor and come to find out they all have the croup. Poor little Makayla hasn't been sleeping and is having a hard time. The doctor said that her oxygen levels were low so they had to give her a steroid shot to help open up her airways so she can breathe easier. I feel so bad I hate it when my babies get sick and there is nothing that I can really do to help them. I always wish that I could just take it from them. So needless to say it has been a fun couple of weeks. I hope they will all get better soon.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree...

I love Christmas time!!!! It is my favorite holiday! I love everything about it, well almost everything. I don't love driving in snow ( it's scary). But everything else I love.

Today the kids and I decorated our Christmas tree while listening to Christmas music and we sang and danced along. Wish that Dale could of been here with us though, then it would have been perfect. He gets the 22nd- January 2nd with us! I can't wait either can the kids! He is an amazing daddy to our kids and a fantastic hubby to me. More like a saint because he puts up with me ( and that is no easy task.)

I can't believe that it is almost a new year. This year has gone by quickly for me. Makayla is 10 months old today. She has her first tooth! Her bottom tooth and the one next to it is almost up! I can't believe that my baby is almost a year old. They grow up way too fast.

I am so excited for Christmas I can't wait!

Lottie

We have the sweetest neighbor. Lottie is a cute grandma from Germany she comes over in the mornings to watch my little munchkins so I don't have to take them out in the cold when I run Bethany to school. And she called me last night just to remind me that it was going to be cold so let my water drip so my pipes won't freeze:) I love her. The other day Kadence was sitting on her lap and she kissed Lottie's face and said " I love you Lottie" It was the sweetest thing. She is the best neighbor ever!

Life Lately

I know that I haven't written in a while so here is what's new.

1. I am very blessed to have the family that I have. They are so supportive, loving and kind. Over the weekend my sweet sister and brother in law came to hang out with me. My sister took me out so I could have a break and her hubby watched all 4 kids. I mean seriously how many young married guys do you know that would spend their saturday watching kids let alone 4? He ROCKS!!!!!! He is the best brother in law ever! I got to spend a fun day with my beautiful, sweet and amazing sister and a break from my kids. Thank you Zach and Amber!

2. Makayla has had a cold since monday and hasn't let me put her down at all. Plus she hasn't been sleeping much at night so I am exhausted. I am hoping she will get better very soon. Poor baby:( But on a good note she has been crawling and pulling herself up and walking around things. I think she is going to walk soon.

3. Bethany has a project due on friday. She choose Pyramids... still have to make the model. Did I mention that it's due friday? Yeah my thoughts exactly.

4. Ayden has decided that when he is angry he will repeatedly slam his bedroom door and yell stupid mom over and over. For some reason this hasn't bothered me (maybe it's just because I am exhausted) I just hope that he doesn't break his door.

5. Kadence has started singing a lot and making up her own songs. It's so cute. Another thing she has started that isn't so cute has been calling everything poopoo and peepee and she thinks that it is hilarious. Not so much to me.

6. I am so over being a single mother to four children... I just want my hubby to come home and stay home. Don't get me wrong I am very grateful that he has a good job I am just over him traveling and being gone so much. I am seriously beginning to question my sanity. I need a long vacation. I love and adore my children and I couldn't live without them ( for a few days or a week I could :) ) I am just so over doing everything on my own and being without him.

7. I am so glad that Thanks Giving break is coming soon. I am excited to spend time with my hubby and my family. I love the holidays!

8. I am very thankful and blessed and also just a mom that needs a long vacation and a full nights sleep:)

Happy Halloween!

The kids had a fun Halloween. We went trunk or treating and they got a lot of candy. We took pictures for Dale and watched Halloween movies.  Bethany wanted to be a vampire (surprise, surprise) Ayden was a pirate, Kadence was a princess of course and Makayla was a bumble bee. Wish that Dale could of been here but over all we had a fun day.

Music and angels

I love my family they are the best people ever. I love that as brothers and sisters we are so close and each others friends. My sweet sister spent her fall break with me and my four kids, out of all of the things that I know she could of done and needed to do she instead chose to come hang out and help me. She helped me so much with the kids she even let me sleep in. She is an angel and I can't thank her enough for being there for me and her awesome hubby to let her come!  I had much needed fun and a break. There are angels among us.

 Last night Makayla puked all over and she didn't sleep very good and then she puked again this morning. My poor little baby is sick. Then on top of that Dale called and he does not get to come home this weekend. So we will get to see him in two more weeks. I am trying to be strong and hold it together. So instead of crying and complaining I turned on the radio and Luke Bryon's song "Shake it for me" was on. I love that song! So I turned it up and just danced. Things could always be worse right? With life you need to just take it as it comes and keep on dancing.

My mom

So last week was a bad week, I was sick and then early saturday morning my mom stopped breathing. My dad found her and gave her CPR  and rushed her to the ER.  As soon as we found out Zach, Amber, Amanda and I and all of my kids loaded up in my Van and hurried up there. I really hate living far from my family but especially having something like that happen and being 3 1/2 hours away. Long story short my mom is home and doing better. Not sure what happened though. It was so scary I love and need my mom so much, I don't know what I would do without her. She is still needed very much here on earth, so don't be so quick to leave us mom.

Gotta love mornings

I have never been a morning person, I would rather stay up late and get to sleep in. But that doesn't happen when you are a mom. Some mornings are better than others, this morning was not fun. At one point all four kids were crying. Luckily Beth got over her issue quickly, Ayden had his moment then it was over but Kadence was another story. Everything was a fight then add Makayla constantly crying to the mix. It was a great start to the day. Gotta love mornings.

Sick

I have a cold that I just can't seem to get over, it's going on two weeks now. ( It can't be from not getting any sleep) But when I woke up this morning instead of feeling the same sadly I felt worse. My ears and throat hurt I really hope that it's not Strep throat but with my luck lately I think it might be. 

I can't get sick I have four kids depending on me and my hubby doesn't come home for another week.
For some reason when I don't get sleep and I am stressed I get a really bad cold. Not fun.

When you are a mom you don't have the time to get sick, you still have to take care of everything. But who takes care of you?

I really just want to crawl back into my bed and pull the covers over my head and just stay there all day... but I can't I have kids, laundry, and a teething baby. Wish me luck.

Reasons why

 I have been doing okay on my own with Dale being gone with work. I mean I have had my moments of insanity but who can blame me, I am on my own with four kids. But over all I have been doing a good job. The kids are taken care of, house is taken care of, bills are paid on time, and we have food. But today proved to me that while I am doing "okay" I really just need my husband back and these are the reasons why.


1. Couldn't find the pilot light to turn on the heater. Couldn't get the heater to work, really needed it to work it was 64 degrees in the house!

2. Can't figure out how to take the swamp cooler out = freezing house.

3. Bethany's never ending questions, need him to answer and explain them to her.

4. Ayden needs a guy to wrestle with. He is surrounded by girls.

5. Miss him cooking his yummy dinners.

7. He always made sure that the gas tank was full and taken care of for me... now I have too.


8. Watching the kids so I could get a break.

9. His side of the bed is empty.

10. Miss my best friend.

11. Not fun grocery shopping with four kids by myself.

12. Hope nothing ever goes wrong with our vehicle when he is not here, because I know nothing about that. ( I can't even change a flat tire)

I could go on and on and on but these are just a few reasons why I just need my hubby back.

We have a mystery on our hands

My least favorite words out of my kids mouths have to be "I didn't do it". Drives me crazy when they tell me this. I mean really if you didn't do it then who did? My friends, we have a mystery on our hands. I know I didn't do it, Makayla is too little, but Beth didn't do it, Ayden didn't do it and Kadence didn't do it. Hmmmm... who could it have been? I have no clue, the mystery remains unsolved.

On to other things less perplexing, we had a fun weekend. Dale came home and my family came to visit. It was so nice to see my family I have missed them so much. I wish that we lived closer. It was a nice relaxing weekend, we watched General Conference, spent time with family and my mom and sister watched the kids so Dale and I could go on a date. The only sad part was saying good bye to Dale and my family.

Bethany has been working on a project for school and she finished it tonight. She had to write a report and make a model of what she chose.  She picked White Tail Deer. I was very impressed with her project. She worked really hard. I had to take some pictures of it.

She used a Pine tree branch, some of our bush, leaves and marshmallows. Very creative I think and she did it all on her own except I helped glue the trees.

Sunday

I love Sundays! I love after church just coming home and relaxing and spending time together as a family. I think Sunday is the day that I miss Dale the most.
My kids decided to wear pajamas, we watched Veggie Tales and just snuggled.
